Mrs. Miller joined St. Francis Xavier Staff in the fall of 2017. She attended Bowling Green State University and got a degree in Inclusive Early Childhood Education. She likes the small school because it feels like a little family. When she is not teaching she enjoys reading, spending time with her husband and son and watching the Cleveland Indians.

Miss Tracey Hay
Fourth Grade Teacher
Miss Hay has been with St. Francis since 1989. She attended Walsh University and has a degree in Elementary Education. What Miss Hay enjoys abut teaching at St. Francis is having the opportunity to talk about God at anytime throughout the day. She also loves the fact that we are a small school and that we have the closeness of a family.
When Miss Hay isn't in the classroom .she is reading, working out and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Tammy Legg
Fifth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Legg joined St. Francis Xavier Staff in 1999. She attended Ohio State Universitiy and Ashland University and got her degree in Education from Ashland University (Bachelor of Science in Education) What she likes about St. Francis is the small class sizes, teaching about God, the staff and students. When Mrs. Legg is not teaching you can find her supporting her children in their many activities, scrapbooking and her husband's racing schedule.

Mrs. Pifher joined St. Francis in 2009. She attended Bowling Green State University and has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education and then continued her education at Heidelberg College and received her Master's degree in Education. What she likes about teaching at St. Francis is the family-like feeling of the staff and students, being able to talk about God and prayer, and the small class sizes. When Mrs. Pifher isn't teaching you can find her spending time with family, taking care of her vegetable and flower gardens or taking a walk at one of he nature preserves

Miss Bauer has been a school volunteer for many years.

Mrs. Jill Heydinger
Religion Teacher
Mrs. Heydinger joined st. Francis in 2016. She attended Capital University and has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She enjoys being able to talk to the children about their faith. She worked in the public school system for 14 years and was not allowed to talk about faith. She also enjoys listening to the students and teaching them something they never knew. When Mrs. Heydinger is not at St. Francis she enjoys spending time with her husband Kevin of 25 years. They have 4 daughters so they keep them busy with their activities. The one thing she hopes to teach our students is to completely trust in Jesus. She was in a serious accident in 2016 and she realized she had to put all her trust in Jesus. God saw her through that and that is what she wants the student to know.

Mrs. Herrnstein began at St. Francis in 1999. Mrs. Herrnstein attended The Ohio State University and received a degree in Elementary Education (K-8). She enjoys spending her days with such wonderful students and helping struggling readers succeed! When not helping students you can find her cooking/baking, reading, and spending time with her family.

Maintenance Coordinator
Donna has been at St. Francis since 1999. What she likes best about St. Francis are the special projects like redoing the library but mostly she likes the freedom to share Jesus with the children. When not at school you can find her at home in the garden or tending to her chickens. She also loves to camp, fish and ride her motorcycle. She loves her volunteer work at the Hope Center. Everyone should try some type of mission trip, it will change your life.

Mrs. Garrett joined St. Francis Xavier School staff in 2007 for a second time. She taught 6th grade for 2 years from 1997-1999. She attended The Ohio State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. As an alumnus of St. Francis, she is happy to see the dedication of the parents for Catholic education. She hopes St. Francis is able to continue its mission of educating children in the Catholic faith for many years to come. When Mrs. Garrett isn't working she enjoys reading, crafting and spending time with family and friends

Mrs. Donna McDowell
Principal
Mrs. McDowell started at St. Francis in 1986 and taught for 13 years and has been principal for the past 17 years. She attended The Ohio State University and has a degree in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. McDowell has been in Catholic Education for 35 years. She enjoys being able to incorporate the teachings of Jesus into the daily lessons. She also enjoys the diversity of the St. Francis students and the family atmosphere. When she is not at St. Francis you can find her with her family.
